Juneathon…What day is it?

Oh, Juneathon…You are kicking my ass!!

I know today is Tuesday, June 11th and I haven’t ran (formally…with my dog/running buddy and counting the miles and minutes) since last week. But what I have done in the last few days…I just couldn’t tell you. Let’s see if I can sum it up:

Day 6:
Thursday: BEST WORKOUT EVER! When your 7 year-old son grabs your hand and says, “Ready, Set, Cheeseburger!”…You run! It was raining and pouring. And, the old man might have been snoring but I had errands to run. 4 stores to be exact. That make 8 mad dashes in the rain. After the first 2 stores, I decided my workout for that day was the “Ready, Set, Cheeseburger” workout with my son, Wyatt. I don’t think I burned alot of calories but it sure was good for the soul!!

Day 7:
Friday: Graduation practice and diploma stuffing and setting up for graduation and I stayed up until 2:30 am watching the weather praying we could have it outside in our stadium! Not much of a “technical” workout but being the Graduation Coordinator was enough of an emotional roller coaster that I counted it!

Day 8:
Saturday: OMG!! Graduation…340 seniors walked across the stage. I cried, I cheered, I hugged and I smiled. I also went to four graduation parties and went to bed at 6:30. I have worked with these students as their school counselor for 4 years and many I have gotten to know very well. It is bittersweet to see them “grow up” and move on. I feel as if they are my children and feel very blessed to have gotten to spend the last few years in their lives.

Day 9:
Sunday: Slept…alot, hung out in the backyard reading. That is all.

Day 10:
Monday Night: Ran 2.5 miles, crunches and push-ups, hit the farmers market and at dinner with my family (at the same time, at the same table…having a real conversation!) Wow! It feels so good to get back to normal! I went to bed at a normal time. Took my Melatonin and got a good night’s sleep!

Day 11:
Tuesday morning: First “real” day of my summer vacation and I got to…Sleep late!
I vow right now that:
I will get back on track with the 30 Day Squat Challenge.
I will get back on track with the 30 Day Ab Challenge.
I will get back on track with drinking water, eating clean and taking my vitamins.
I will get back on track blogging.
And, most importantly…
I will get back on track being a wife and mother!

There, I said it, put it in writing for all the world to see so it must happen now!
You are my witnesses!

Here’s to not letting Juneathon kick my ass any longer!!
